Hmm, someone might want to tell this fellow that Tolkein was a devout Catholic and he prefigured Catholic theology in his works. What the guy is unknowingly affirming here is Catholic Christian theology.

Tonight I am cursed with insomnia (brought on by an unholy mixture of pizza and Pepsi), and as an aid to sleep I decided to read The Silmarillion again. After finishing Ainulindalë I realised that it is a much more satisfactory creation myth than the one suggested in The Bible.
